Meeting methodological challenges
Example: our work with young people looked after, carried out in 2010, required highly-sensitive interaction with participants who have had very difficult lives. Most of them have a stream of adults taking intense but temporary interest in them, and levels of trust can be very low. We adopted flexible methods, using open questions in snatched conversations, observation, short questionnaires, and post-it exercises in short workshop settings.
